Barbara

Yesterday afternoon Barbara Emard passed away in her home. Her daughter, Patti just flew in to be with her family.
Barbara was 74 years with 5 daughters who simply adored her. She will be leaving to go up north with the rest of her family.
A memorial is being planned at our Village Clubhouse for Saturday June 19 at 6:00.
The light simply dimmed when Barbara left us to be with her precious husband, Norm.
You may remember Barb as the greeter when she and Norman first moved in to our Village. She was the secretary for the then owners. What a joy it was to have her welcome everyone who came in. Then came her passion for Bingo every week. We all came to know her for her compassion in everything she did.
The Cracker Barrel knew that they had a gem in their hostess there as she was specially honored for her service years. We all went there more or less to be greeted by her personally. She was so much with it.
Her family has grown since her move here with her children, grandchildren and many other children who called her their grandma.
Our love goes out to the grieving members of this Grand Lady who is being greeted by so many loved ones who went on before her.
We hope to honor her and her family Saturday Night at 6:00 in our clubhouse......

Barb was indeed a grand lady. Norm and her put many man hours and hard work into makeing the Village a wonderful and safe place to live. She had her wonderful smile thru to the end. We were honored to know her.

Our deepest sympathies go out to all of the family. I know her family will laugh and smile forever with the great memories of her.

Barb was a special person, very loving and kind and good. She was especially helpful to us the first time we met her 15 years ago - and remained so in all the intervening years. We shall miss her dearly, and she will be in our prayers.
Our condolences to the entire Emard family. Rick & Sharron Doyle

So terribly sorry to hear this. I knew it was coming, but we are never prepared to lose those we love and care for. Barb was such a sweet woman. I have thought about her many times in the past couple of months. I can't imagine how lonesome she must have been after losing Norm, but she always kept her chin up. She is with him now for eternity. God rest her soul. Kryse

My mother would have loved to say good bye to all her family in this park. She and Dad worked so hard to make this their new home and all who lived in it, their new family members. Mom and dad were not selfish people; but always taught us to treat people as we wanted to be treated and with that they started to build a family community where neighbors watched and helped neighbors. I hope that their legacy of their new family, stays safe, caring and helps all new LV family members to feel what mom and dad tried to share with every person that came into their lives, love of family and pride in their home and what they could accomplish and provide for their family. Thank you all those LV family members who made their lives full and who are helping us with our grief and teaching us how to live with their memory in love.
