News from Oregon

Had a fun note from Diane and the progress of their life in Coos Bay.
It sounds like spring is trying to push it's way into the area but those storms still persist.  The fruit trees are slowly budding so that means that spring isn't to far away.  They have their wood fire going to cozy up to as a they still have their foster baby.  Diane is happy to just have a little one around.
Keith is doing quite well even in the cooler weather.  He goes to the senior center 3 times a week to play water volleyball. Way to go Keith.

I do believe they are really waiting for the weather to break as I know that Diane is getting anxious to plant her garden.
Best to all of you from all of us....

New look

Jo and Pat
In case you haven't noticed your library now has a beautiful donated table and chairs.  Some dedicated Lakewood Village Resident figured we could use a place to sit for a moment to pick out a book to take home.  A couple of residents were checking it out. Thanks to who ever you may be.  It sure looks wonderful.
Our thanks to our Village for providing us with a nice clean place to trade books, puzzles and videos. Let's all try to keep this working.
By the way!!!!Happy Birthday today Doug...many more with us....

Week-end

A special note this Friday: It was just one year ago that we all stood outside to watch the last launch of Discovery.  It was a sad moment and time sure has gotten away from us.....
*****************
The week-end has arrived and with it some beautiful weather.  The Village always has something to do besides using our beautiful pool.  Listen for those Owls or Sand hill cranes that visit us once in a while.

There is in the area, Art shows, flea markets and many theater presentations, Friday street dances & the fun beaches and of course we could all do a little yard work.
Take a stroll around the Village and see what some of our residents have been up to.
Have you been watching the weather up north?  Aren't we lucky to be here??  Enjoy our Village once again.
Many happy moments to you all.

whoops.....

We were told that another dog got out and decided to take a swim in our lake.  Nothing happened but we really are not sure what lives in these lakes.  This was the second little dog that was reported to jump in for a swim  and we sure wouldn't anything to happen to your little pets.  Watch out for them and don't let them take a swim in our other wise pretty lakes.  They really are for the fish and ducks....
