Good bye and Hello

Sorry to see the old year go as we have had a lot of
wonderful things happened to us all.
**
Before we go there are a few announcements to be made.
Bocci
Team competition begins this Tuesday January 5th behind our
clubhouse. Teams will be formed just before the games
begin this week. Please arrive at 9:45. All adult park residents
are welcome. Experience is not required as instruction will
be provided. Competition will be held each Tuesday at 10:am.
Call Pete or Peg if you have questions.
See you Tuesday.
****
Also the clubhouse was decorated for the holidays and now
needs to be restored to it's original plan. There will be a
untrimming of the tree and etc. on SATURDAY morning at 10:00 a.m.
will you to come and join us for an hour of friendship.
There will be lite snacks to enjoy.
****
Where does the time go? Of course this is the time for making
resolutions, a time to start fresh. I started thinking about this and about
how we are sometimes compelled to do things on the holidays, and we
are especially compelled to do new or positive things on New Year's Day.
I hope that 2009 was everything you wanted it to be. I hope you
had joy and fun with friendship from everyone. I hope you were
content and had peace of mind and I hope you found true happiness,
the kind that's hard to fine.
Most of all, I hope that 2010 you will find even more.
Our Village is waiting for us to continue to experience all the
wonderful friendships and activities that are presented
daily to all of us.
Keep the smile, leave the tear, think of joy, forget the fear, hold
the laugh, leave the pain, be joyous, coz it's the new year.
Happy New year everyone

My wish to you...

I personally have several very good friends that live in our Village
and are facing some hard times ahead.

We have heard about some of them through out the year
and since this year is almost gone I want to acknowledge
them and their courage. I will not give their names.
**
My wish for you:
*Where there is pain, I wish you peace and mercy.
*Where there is self-doubting I wish you a renewed
confidence in your ability to work through it.
*Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I wish you
understanding, patience, and renewed strength.
*Where there is fear, I wish you Love, and courage.
**
May the new year give you Hope.....

How Many do You See?

How many 'gator babies do you see?

These photos were taken by Sharen R at the Jonathan Dickson State Park down near Hobe Sound.  These are in the wild!  They were not in pens.

Last coffee hour of the year!

Yes there was a coffee hour held in your clubhouse this morning.
****
With the help of Diane and Doug we did have a wonderful
hour for coffee and donuts.
We all applaud them for letting us have the last coffee hour
for 2009.
***
The clubhouse is getting set up for the New Year's party.
Tickets were sold this morning by John C. so if you
need any get in touch with him.
You had a flyer delivered to your mailbox this week so
you have all the information that you need.
Come and celebrate the coming of the new year with
your friends and neighbors.

Courage and perseverance often cause difficulties to
disappear.

Prayers are needed

I have had word that our precious Barb E. is once
again in the local hospital..She went in yesterday morning and was admitted
last night.
The pain she is experiencing was unbearable to
her and we know that today they will do something
to give her relief.
We are all waiting to hear from her family as to what
they will be doing for her and our
prayers are out to her and others that
are in pain this holiday season.

It takes a lifetime to grow an old friend
Treasure what you have
Update!!!!!!

was responding to the medications. She did
get some food in her and was able to acknowledge
the family. We are watching her carefully.

Farewell News

Last Saturday the Village lost another dear friend.
Frank Scheid
Frank was 86 and had lived in our Village
for many years.
A friend to anyone who needed help.
Frank and his wife Dorothy lived in the
East section and loved anyone who would come
and stop for a visit.
Dorothy had passed away 8 years ago and we
had all missed her presence as we will
Frank.
Our condolences are with his family who are
handling the arrangements.
There will be no viewing but perhaps a
memorial in the next year.
Our prayers are with you.
