Veterans Day

The sun was shinning and the Village was alive this morning with the hum of good fellowship and smiles everywhere.
*********
Everyone saluted both countries with their national anthem -- United States and our neighbors in Canada. It is wonderful to be able to stand next to such distinguished veterans and thoughtful friends.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was warm out so some took leave and retired to the clubhouse where it was nice and cool and where the social club had prepared a most beautiful table of food for all to enjoy. John made sure we all had the beautiful cake that was decorated with both countries, flags and all.
~~~~~~
The wall of honor was unveiled and is to remain posted so that you can see who is still fighting for our freedom. If you have a relative or a close friend who is serving now please let someone know so they can be added to the beautiful tribute.
~~~~
Everyone who came and stood at attention was moved by the feeling you only get when something right is happening. John and Lew , Rick and Sharron along with several of their Canadian friends pinned on Poppy's of everyone who came. This is a honored tradition of our special friends.
Other were simply happy to be able to attend and let people know how much they appreciate all that the social club does for it's residents.
*******
The 50/50 was won by Thomas S. who had to look twice in belief. Good going guys.
Announcement made that there is the Social club's meeting tonight at 6:30 and invited everyone to attend and help plan the upcoming season's social calendar. Please come and see what they are going to do.
Never let the opportunity to say a kind word pass you by.
