4 th of July success

These are your Lakewood Village Veterans for 2010
The flag was raised with full honors.

Those rain clouds held off so that your Village could have another wonderful 4th of July.We have the most impressive group of Veterans that anyone could hope to see all in one place. We are so very proud these brave Men and Women who live right here in our Village.

The morning started out a little shaky with the clouds but it actually was a blessing with the shade. The fishing went quite well with a half a dozen or so dedicated fisherman drowning the worms in our common lake. Jim and Doug did their best to help them all keep those lines in the water. Carlos B. caught the most fish as he really is a true fisherman. Jerry was doing his best to keep up but he actually caught the biggest. We congratulate them all for the fine job they did.

The bike parade was soooo much fun with the great assortment of bikes and carts decorated with the traditional colors of red, white, and blue.
That cute little Gage took the first place honors in bike while Doug and Gracie took the honors in the decorated cart. They had a ball...
Everyone who joined in these activities were awarded a prize.
Many thanks to our Judges, Don and Carole, T and Nathan N.
Thanks to Tom and Dot on the great job with 50/50. Sure missed that hat...Way to go Don(Carole)
Thanks to Jodi for the tattoos. Even the older one were running around showing them off.

The cakewheel was an instant success with all your donations to this project that the social club depends on to give us this fine party. Thanks to the decorating committee, including Pat, Bo, Jim and Nancy. This was done before anyone knew what was happening. It was such a pleasant clubhouse to come into. As one said" A very relaxin time"

Clean-up was done by everyone who stayed around to help with things that had to be put back into place. I lost track of all of you but it was so much help. Thanks.

And last but most important to all was the kitchen crew. What a fantastic job these guys did behind the scenes. They made sure your covered dish was placed on the dinner table and the the food was served with such a timely fashion.
I can't thank them enough.....Patti B, Nancy C.,Carole T., and Nicki. I think Don even got into with them. Such fun they were having. The kitchen was cleaned up so that we were proud to leave it.

If you missed this, we are sorry as it was given to you by your Lakewood Social Club. Perhaps the next one will be the one you can come to. We all enjoyed having such a fine group of appreciative people come to the functions that are offered to all our residents.
