Recycle Program

aJust for your information.
~~
Effective October 1, 2008
~~~
Indian River County is pleased to announce an
expanded curbside recycling program.
~~
Recycling saves the county landfill...and that saves the
taxpayers' money. Moreover, it saves our planet.
~~
Remember, curbside recycling Service is available to all
Village residents and it is included in the cost of living
here.
~~
Our collection day is WEDNESDAY. If you need bins
you can call 772-226-3400 as these are free for the asking.
~~
This is not mandatory but it really makes good sense.
~~
I hope this information will benefit all those concerned and
we all thank you for paying attention.
Thank you for this update. I have had whole blue boxes left because I keep putting in all the wrong stuff. Here they weren't able to accept even half of what up North had. This is great news for Indian River. I hope that people start to take recycling seriously. It's not difficult but it will help our Grandkids future. Again, thanks for sharing.
The recycling office confirmed no styroform will be accepted at this time.
Also their trucks arrive anytime after 6 a.m. so have it at the curb by then.
