Picnic days are coming

Your picnic days are coming!
****
Beginning Monday, November 2nd, there will again be a regular barbecue/cookout in our Village.
This will run until April, and is always weather-dependent.
We gather in the A-section park about 3:30.
Rick D. (A36) prepares the grill and you bring andcook whatever you want. It is a good occasion to socialize and meet your neighbors once again.
This is open to all adult L.V. residents and their guests. Regular attendees are asked to bring a bag of charcoal once per season.
Thank you Rick for all the help you do with this activity.
***
This has always been a wonderful success, so mark your calendars for Mondays, starting Nov. 2nd.
~~~~
* Just a note!
This picnic area is open year round for residents and their guests to use. All you need to do is leave the area in the best of shape.
This is a perk of LV.
Enjoy
Team work divides the effort and multiplies the effect.
Pumpkin days ahead
Keep growing those pumpkins Diane.
They just seem to get bigger all the time and just think of all the goodies that come from pumpkins.
***
Our weather has turned warm again so the A.C. was back on last night. Don't think we will have fall temps for our Halloween parties this next coming week-end.
Keep watching for those witches and goblins....
More to come soon.
The best preparation for tomorrow is the best use of today..
Halloween is just one week a way.
Time to get those jack-o-lanterns ready.
Enjoy the cool weather.
Hay week
Picked up a few bits of information.
This is all done with bales of hay.
Quite interesting what people can do
with their spare time.
****
We get to just have fun in our Village.
***
Have a happy hey day.
Pumpkin days ahead
Just a picture of a few pumpkins being grown.
In case you are wondering just what is so
different about these, Diane grew these in her
garden. They tipped the scales in over 340 lbs.
She really has a knack for growing those
vegetables.
*****
I will be posting other surprises from Diane
and her garden this next week.
**
Thanks Diane.
Special Coffee hour.
We wish to thank Nancy C and Barb E. for
hosting our coffee hour this morning.
We all appreciate the time you took
to have these coffee and sweets for us to enjoy.
This morning a special coffee hour was presented
with the VNA.
Anyone wishing to get their Flu shot had this
opportunity to do so.
Lila and Stu waited for their turn and I
don't think Stu cared one way or another.
We wish to thank The VNA for all their
help and coming to our Village.
***
Don't forget tonight is our Bingo in our
Halloween clubhouse.
Get your dabbers and wander over
at 5:00 to get the best seat in the place.
*****
The shuffleboard court is looking mighty
good. Take a look at what has been done
over the summer.
Thank you guys.
Never lose a chance at saying a kind word.
Bunco scores
A wonderful turn-out for Bunco this week.
Everyone did their best to get the most Bunco's
but this week
Patti won with 4 and a lot of yippee's.
***
Most games, which means they worked awfully
hard were:Tom and Dot B.
They made enough to come back
next week...
****
There was one chair that took a fancy
to Rose so she didn't have to move
around to much.
Hope you all had a good time.
~~~~~
Treats were provided by
Dot and everyone enjoyed those yummy
cookies....
Thank you.
~~~~~
Just a reminder!!!!!
"Coffee" at 9 in the morning. and also
flu shots available at this time.
~~~~
Happy are those people who make their
homes in the hearts of
friends

Welcome back

Yesterday several van's pulled into our Village.
***
We are happy to welcome back
Rick and Sharron D and our Joan.
Coming in right behind them, Bo & Pat A.
They all drove through some bad weather up north
and were happy to see their winter
home.
***
We welcome them back and we are sure ,even
with the cool front this morning, that they will
enjoy our southern weather.
More will be arriving soon and hope to hear
from them and their uneventful trip into
our Village...
****
Enjoy life:
This is not a dress rehearsal.

Week-end coming up

A little catch up for the week-end..
***
It sure has been hot with record breaking temperatures.
Received the power bills this week and hopefully we will
be getting some relief soon.
***
Take a peek in your clubhouse this week as
Jessie was in there decorating it for Halloween.
She sure is a busy goblin. It looks scary...
**
Monday night is still the great Bunco game
at 7:00 p.m. in our clean clubhouse. A good
way to get out for an hour or so.
***
Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. is our usual
coffee hour but this week there will be the nurses
on hand to offer flu shots. Please bring necessary papers
for them to fill out.
Enjoy having coffee with your neighbors.
***
Tuesday night at 5:00 p.m. doors open for
our weekly games of Bingo.
They need players as well as volunteers to run
this exciting game. You can get in touch with any
Social Club member as to how you could help them.
They would appreciate it.
***
Thursdays the Michigan Rummy group starts their
game at 1:00 in our clean Clubhouse.
Pete D. #302 was looking for some guys to
join in playing a game of Cribbage, so if any of
you would like to play at 1:00 you could give
him a call or stop by. Sounds interesting.
***
Our thought this week is:
Good Luck Rose and John
**
Greet the dawn with enthusiasm and you
may expect satisfaction at sunset.

Out of surgery

Makk is out of surgery, in the PICU and although they had a hard
time getting his pain under control he is finally sleeping.
They will keep him resting until possibly today.
We don't know what the results of this surgery has
produced yet but will let everyone know as soon
as it becomes available.
Our prayers are with the Beatty families...

Thank you for all of your prayers... Makk is doing a bit better this afternoon. He will probably be in the PICU for several more days as they try to get his digestive system working. Your prayers have been much appreciated. - Diane
