Christmas Angels

Last night we all heard the Christmas Angels sing
in our Village.
~~~
A wonderful group of happy wanderers were giving
us the performance that made us stop and think just how
lucky that we are to give thanks for this holy season.
~~~~
Whoever you were I know that we thoroughly enjoyed your
singing and laughing while strolling Thru our Village.
You have made many smile when some didn't have
much to smile about.
We thank each and everyone of you for your
love of the season.
~~~
Another note...
~
It seems that several people were blessed with an
additional surprised gifts that were delivered this
morning.
The Village elves were very busy and I have had
thank you notes from some.
~
May you all enjoy this Eve and tomorrow
with someone you love.
Bocci Games
Received word from some Boccie players
that they had a great day practicing
for when they will be really competing
come the new year.
Peg tells me that the girls in all their
glory won their games and will
continue to practice.
~~~
It seems some elves have been around the
Village this week doing some
much needed help and repairs for the those who have
trouble getting their places
into shape.
***
This is what Lakewood Village is all about and we
appreciate any help you may give to your
neighbors.

Bridge scores for Dec.

Last Angel visit

It seems there was one more Angel visit this week.
I do believe our special visits are at a end.
~~~~
Gene S.#297
will be the last surprise this season.
****
This was a very unselfish act done by someone
who was thinking of those who
needed a surprise lifting in these
hard and trying times.
*****
We may never know who did all these
wonderful visits but we want them to
know it was appreciated.
~~~~~
Tis the season to be thinking of others
and we in the Village are doing our best
to make this one of most happiest of
the year.

Another Miracle soon

We are going to have another miracle in a

couple months.

*****

Chris & Brandy

are going to experience the birth

of their first child

after the new year.

Brandy tells me that they are

so excited and are waiting until

their little angel comes into this

world to find out just what name they will be

giving their newborn.

~~~~~
Our sincere congratulations to one of
the nicest couples who live in our
Village.
~~
We will all be waiting for the good news.
Our love goes out to you.
Surprise visitor
This week in the A section we were witness to
one of our turtles laying her eggs.
***
In the back yard of Doug and Peg B,
this energetic momma worked very hard and
with about 12 witnesses got her nest cleaned out
to lay several eggs.
*
Everyone was fascinated by how she got her
nest ready so she could deposit her treasures.
The neighbors were in awe has how much work
she went through to insure their safety.
The whole park will be watching and waiting for the
hatching when that occurs.
~~~~
Please keep us posted Sharon D. with any more
pictures and information you may come into.
Our thanks for this incredible sight of nature.

Angel visits once again

Just heard that the Spirit of Christmas
has been busy once again.
***
Eleanor C. and Ernie H. have had a visit
from that ever surprising angel.
*****
This is the most wonderful thing that anyone
has done for so many people here in our Village.
We really don't need to know where these Angels
come from as we know they came from the heart
of someone special.
*****
The season continues as we take a walk outside at
night and see all the sparkling lights that our residents
have decorated their homes with.
****
The Christmas spirit does live in
Lakewood Village

A good exercise for the heart is to
bend down and help another up.

Red Hat Christmas

Today "17"
Lovely Ladies of Lakewood Village
met and enjoyed an outstanding Luncheon at
The Point West Club House.
~~~
Everyone all looked beautiful in their Purple & Reds.
Some even had boas and all had a good time with them.
~~~~
Kathy R had the lucky number that earned her a
wonderful hand painted
Red Hat wine glass.
~~~
Vince W. won the lucky Red Hat prize.
~~~
The beautiful traveling bouquet was handed down by a drawing and once again your Queen Peg's number was drawn. This is the third time this lucky lady will have the honor.
~~~~
These adventurous girls have already planned their
next venture. It will be at Queen Mother's house
for a root beer social and movie.
This is planned for
January 14
and all ladies who are interested
in joining them to have a
wonderful time are invited!
***************
May you always have a
rainbow of smiles on your face
and
In your heart forever & ever.
Friends hug friends forever.
Merry Christmas
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.
~~~~~
This brief note is from Cindy J. who is still
up north.
The winter has been really intense one with all
the cold weather and it does terrible things to one
with joint problems.
Was looking forward to spending some time there
with you and your beautiful holiday weather.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make the
trip until later in the spring.
I will be having some surgery done soon
and will be laid up for a time.
~~~~~~
My thoughts are with you and all my friends
and wonderful neighbors.
May you have a Happy, Healthy, Holiday
in Florida.
Congratulations
We have a birthday to celebrate this week and you
all know him as Ron S.
Ron is slowly up and around, feeling a little better
with all that extra pure air he is inhaling.
Have a great birthday Ron from all of us here in
your Village .
Dee A. will be 29 again on Sat. We wish you
many more..heehee.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We also have several big Anniversary's to
acknowledge among us:
Bo and Pat will be out celebrating this week
Perhaps out on the cycle????
Doug and Margaret. Hope they will be back in fold
sometime soon.
~~~~~
May you all have a wonderful day and we look
forward to next year that you will spend your
special day with us.
~~~~~
Many people will walk in and out of your life,
but only true friends will leave footprints
in your heart.

New Angel Visits

Once again some of our Village people were visited
by the surprise Angel.
~~~~
I just found out that
Connie & Gail were visited and didn't
even know it. A33
Doug found a Christmas moose sitting in his
workshop. A30
Chad and family each were blessed with
beautiful surprises. A 29,
Cecelia G #111,
John & Lew F. # A48 ,
John & Grace G. A32 ,
John & Jessie C.# 31,
David & Deanna A. #227,
Rog & Debbie C and our own Patti.
were all visited somehow and no one
knows when.
This is something of a mystery to all of us
but what a wonderful gift to each and
every one.
~~~~
If you were visited, let me know and we will
all get to enjoy the feeling of Christmas Spirit
together.
*************
Silence is often misinterpreted, but
never misquoted.

DEDICATION

Saturday December 13, 2008 will be remembered by the 50 some Village people who came to pay their respects to the dedication of our new activity building.

~~~~
Your President, Dave A. opened the ceremony under the Christmas decorated balcony for all to see and hear. His memory was that Normand and John G were two determined people to make sure we were going to have the best that we could.
The building turned out beautifully
and we are very impressed.
Normand had served in all levels of our Village and we sincerely appreciate it.
~~~
Barb E. thanked all who came, including her daughter, Holly and once again let us know how much Norm loved his Village. With that she unveiled the beautiful plaque secured to the wall of our new building.

~~~~
This day was set aside also for our open house with several new houses open for inspection.
People came and looked things over and I know we all tried to see that our Village was as pretty as we could make it. Perhaps soon we will have some new neighbors just as dedicated as our Norman was.
~~~~
Take the time today to
~~
Share your knowledge.
It is a way to achieve
character immortality.

with that wonderful
feeling of giving.

Open House

Only 2 more days to go.....
Lets all get in the spirit of our Village and let
everyone know what a beautiful place it is to Live.
~~~~
Everything is always okay in the end,
if not, then it's not the end.
Keep smiling....
The Golden Angel
There seems to be the spirit of Christmas in several of
the homes this past week.
~~~
Golden Angels
have been appearing in some of our homes.
~~
Eleanor S found a beautiful hand crafted golden angel
at her house and wonders if any of you have an idea
which one of Santa's elves could have done it.
She just loves this gift and it is now standing
between two Golden candles on her red Christmas
tablecloth in front of her nativity scene.
This just seems to add to the spirit of the season.
Thank you, whoever you are and may you have a very
Merry Christmas.
~~~
This seems to be contagious as our house had also been
visited with not one but two Golden Angels.
At our house we feel blessed this season and know there
are others with stories that we would enjoy.
Just let me know so the Holiday cheer continues.
~~~~
The first step you take is always the most
important.

Good Luck Al and Lorraine
