no regrets

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy.
They just promised it would be worth it.
Eleanor S...........Thank you...

Coffee hour

Coffee hour was held this morning to some 65 plus
wonderful and interesting friends and neighbors.
This was a tribute to Norman as he has hosted
this for many weeks and always enjoyed the company.

Jessie & Carlos and their spouses provided
the wonderful treats for this
event with a such flair that we were all in awe.
Barbara & her daughter Patti along with
Norm's sister Pat, were there to let us know that
things were going to be alright.

There will be a memorial on Saturday in the
clubhouse for all to attend and celebrate
the life of our dear friend.
Come at @ 2.00 to enjoy yourself.

Announcement was made for the big
day for all the mothers in our community.
John Davis is hosting a Brunch in the
Clubhouse from 11 to 1. Tickets will be at the
door and they are $4.00 adults and $2.00
for children. Of course, all resident mothers
will be free. Our children will be your servers
and they do such a fun job of this. Please let
John know if possible how many will be
coming so he can prepare enough for wonderful
Social Club Brunch. He is listed in
your Resident Directory.

We will be having more news posted when
it comes in, so keep watching.

Sorry but there is no Bingo tonight.

Quick updates:
Bob O is still in the hospital
and having a rough time, so
keep him in your thoughts
and prayers.

Sally B at the moment is
back home but is experiencing
some problems. We will keep you
posted when we hear.

I know this is somewhat long but there was a
lot going this morning. Hope this will keep you
updated and will try to continue with this..........barb

Memorial for Norman Emard

A memorial has been planned for Norman this
Saturday @2:00p.m. in the Village Clubhouse.
Norman was a organ donor so releasing him
to the family had delayed the plans but they
are set to go now.

Donations of food, help, etc. can be given to
the family at Lot 109. The family requests
that no flowers be present as Barbara is
allergic to them so we will all respect her
wishes.

Norman leaves us with an impressive family
for us to enjoy: Barbara, Patti S and her husband,
Donna D and her husband, Carrie E and
Dave C., Holly F and her husband, & Teresa.

His two sisters, Emilea F. and Shirley B.
There are 16 grandchildren and 4 great-
grandchildren.

Please keep the family in your thoughts
and prayers as we all love his family.

Norman

As of last night a dear and loyal friend was
lifted to heaven after a battle of illness that
we all were witnessed to these past several
months.
His family was with him in his final hours
and so many good friends had visited with
Norm and the family at the hospital.
There will be more news coming up but
we are giving the family some time to
grieve and sort out the next few days.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement
to the family and friends.

Helen McClure

Received word that a long and dear friend Helen
has made it back home from a very short
visit with her daughter and son-in-law.
Robin and Beth V.

You may remember her as she has been
a winter resident for many years. She
still looks fabulous and is very active in
her activities up north.

It was great to see her once again and
look forward to seeing her again.

Pete and Peg's good news

Peggi had a wonderful birthday with her
children this past week. She informed me
that the family made it back to Texas and want
to return to the fabulous Lakewood Village.

Birthday dinner was done with chopsticks
and even John Carter mastered the use of
these odd dinner forks.

A ball game was truly a special
highlight as they all got to visit with a
friend on one of the teams.
Excitement radiated from all of them.
If you see Peggi riding around, be sure to
wave as she is babysitting!!!!!
Thanks Peggi for sharing your family's visit and
all your kind words
they are appreciated...................barb

update

Just an update on our residents from the village.
Norm is still not doing well. He has been put on some strong meds to keep him comfortable. We saw him yesterday and he did receive us well. The family is still with him and he loves this. Barb is staying at the hospital around the clock with him. Keep those prayers coming in.

Sally B. did have a stroke but quite the remarkable woman that she is ,keeps telling them she wants to go home. Way to go.Miss Sally...

Another note. Bob O will have some work done and I get the feeling he is not to happy to be in a hospital but knowing Bob he will do what they say
so he can come home to his family.

Last but not least Joe T. has been transfered to a assisted living home in Ft. Pierce but I don't have any address at this moment.

We all wait for any news that will come in on all of our residents. Please keep your neighbors informed when something happens so they can be of any help.

We really are one BIG family....

April 24 - Happy 65!

Can you tell which one is celebrating the big 65? !!

John, Jessie, and newest Granddaughter!

If you catch John Cox around today, wish him a Happy 65

Yeah, it's him - not the baby!!

Coffee hour

Our gratitude to John and Jessie for hosting
this morning's Coffee hour. It was a beautiful
morning with a great turnout.
These two beautiful people jumped in
to be our servers of coffee and donuts which we
all enjoyed. The conversation was wonderful and is
our usual entertainment. The good news was
when we had word by phone that Norman
was improving. Once again our thanks to
John and Jessie.....Happy Birthday John.....

Latest report in

This morning we were informed that Norman is a
stubborn and determined man.
He came through the night as he slept well and also
his Kidneys started to work again. His BP is stable and
he is hollering to get back home. I guess our
prayers are working. Yippee.....
Another bit of news: Bob O and Sally B are both
in the hospital and will be for several days so
will report when more information becomes
available. Keep those prayers coming in....

Chef??

Does anyone know who this chef is??

Perhaps when you do see him, go
up a shake his hand for the outstanding job he did at the breakfast in the clubhouse.....
Of course you know him ~~~

Fabulous Breakfast

The Social Club held their 1st Annual Mexican
breakfast this morning in the overwhelming
and overflowing Clubhouse.

Chef J.C. B, and his very capable staff of
many, served well over 150 hungry and
appreciative members of our community.

The food was simply out of this world with
nothing but the best of everything you
could think of. The kitchen served
each of in a timely and friendly
manner that is certainly appreciated ~

The announcement of when the next
dinner would be held made us
hungry all over again :)

Our gratitude goes out to the wonderful
group of Social Club members and to those others
who helped make this an experience that we
all certainly enjoyed.

The only sad moment was that our
Social Club President Norman E. was not
able to attend due to a trip to the hospital.

We know he was sad to have missed
this event, as he was in on all the plans
that were made.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you
Mr. President and your troops await your return ~~

Red (& Purple) Hatters:

A casual get together of several ladies in the

Red Hatters was held this week.

They tell me that they had soo much fun and

did a lot of laughing.

Pres Peggi D. hosted the evening with a

movie and entertainment which resulted

in one lucky lady taking home the traveling

prize.(shown)

it at the next meeting. This is exciting for her.

We don't know yet what is in store for these

inventive ladies but we do know that they
